God, Thankful

More of God

More of God. M.O.G. That’s what people want—whether they know it or not. Because it’s what we all need. Do you feel that hunger too? If you do, that’s a good thing. That hunger is the starting place of being filled with God’s presence. But you don’t have to look for God on your own—wandering around aimlessly, frustrated and feeling like a failure. Instead, you can take your first step on a proven path to meeting God and knowing him better and better. Let me warn you, however, this path isn’t an easy one. But, if you’re willing to take this journey with Jesus as both your companion and your destination, you will experience God’s power in ways you didn’t even know were possible! ⭐️🙏❤️

Helping Others

“Your faith has brought you back to God; but our walk is not yet completed. Go on God’s way and watch for the circumstances He places before you where your brother lay troubled or in need of something He wants YOU to provide. You will be led by the Spirit and empowered by God to bless those whom He sent you to serve. He will give you the words to comfort, the resources to help, and the strength and supernatural ability to succeed in whatever He calls you to do. Yes, you are just one person; but you are in God’s perfect place in His perfect timing and you may not get a second chance to help and ‘regret’ when you avert your eyes and keep on walking. The Spirit brings joy in obedience and convicts when you disobey. Loving kindness and service to your brother is like a snapshot in time. Like pictures on your refrigerator, just another photo to most; but precious to our Father in heaven.” ~Cynthia V Hance

How Great Thou Art

“How Great Thou Art”
O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder

Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,

Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

And when I think of God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;

That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,

He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And lead me home, what joy shall fill my heart!

[Album version:] Then I shall bow with humble adoration,

[Live version:] Then I shall bow in humble adoration,

And then proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art!”

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

One With God

You can let other things affect you OR you can remember that you are affected only by your own thoughts. This is the decision. You can be happy or sad. You are the loveliest of all of God’s creations. You are the Son He loves. In you is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite. To know yourself means:

To know yourself as LIGHT. To know yourself as LOVE. To know yourself as ONE WITH GOD.

Keep Your Focus On God

DON’T LOSE YOUR FOCUS

Our eyes look to the Lord our God. Psalm 123: 2 ESV

Everything changes when you set your focus on God. You filter every situation through the knowledge you have of him. Is any problem too hard for him? No. Can he use every circumstance for your good and his glory? Yes. Because nothing is impossible for God, every challenge you encounter is just another opportunity to see his mighty work in your life—building your confidence in him. Unfortunately, sometimes you lose your focus.
It’s so easy to do—especially when unexpected trouble arises. It can even be something small—a flat tire, a bill that’s difficult to pay, an irritating issue. Suddenly you’re wondering, God, where are you? God hasn’t moved; your focus has—and you must turn your attention back to him. Because he’s still bigger than your problems and will certainly help you.

 I lift my eyes to You, the One enthroned in heaven. . . . Show us favor, Lord. Psalm 123: 1, 3 HCSB
